Duncan Smith hears the latest suicide figures for benefit claimants

An open letter from disability groups has been slammed by Iain Duncan Smith for ‘lacking substance’, meaning he can’t throw it in the waste-paper bin; one of the best bits of his job.

Duncan Smith explained  how he’s eradicating poverty by eradicating the poor and now wants to roll out the same approach to the disabled.

“The current system only encourages people to be disabled. I’m slashing benefits, so the cuts hurt them more than their so-called disabilities do.”

“In the very rare case, when someone really is disabled, money is hardly going to make a difference. Tanni Grey-Thompson; does she really need an extra £30 a week?”

“And that Stephen Hawking, he’s worth a few bob. He’s lived rather a long time for someone with MND, in my view. He didn’t look too disabled trotting up to collect his Oscar last year, did he? He’d probably run a marathon if only people stopped coddling him.”
