Jennifer Aniston to present Pot Black

It’s like you’re always stuck behind the brown…

Following the news that former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is to join the Top Gear team, the BBC has announced another coup by signing Jennifer Aniston to present late-night snooker show Pot Black.

“Jennifer is a lifelong fellow cuehead and I’m thrilled she’s joining Pot Black,” said former Embassy World Champion Steve Davis of his new on-screen colleague.

Aniston could barely contain her excitement in an interview for the snooker magazine Balls.

“As a snooker nut and a massive fan of the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, I’m honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter,” she said. “What a thrill!”

Aniston denied that the move was just a publicity stunt, insisting she has a deep knowledge of the UK snooker scene.

“Why, old Willy Thorne his hair’s all gone, and his mates all take the rise,” she explained, adding: “His opponent said cover up his head, cos it’s shining in my eyes!”

However, this only raised the suspicion that the limit of her research has been to listen to an old copy of Snooker Loopy by Chas ‘n’ Dave.

Predictably, social media was immediately ablaze with comments about the announcement, with most people making the obvious joke referencing the Friends theme song.

“Feels like she’ll always be stuck behind the brown, snookered up tight against the baulk cushion!” was one popular tweet.
