Judge Masipa, the Judge delivering her verdict in the Oscar Pistorius murder trail has stated she may take two days to sum up the case and deliver the verdict, beating the current result delivery record held by The X-Factor’s Dermot O’Leary.

O’Leary has become well-known for dragging a result out for as long as possible for effect, often carrying it over two highly lucrative advertising breaks.

However, viewers watching the results show on Sky News have already has five ad breaks, three adjournments and a performance from prosecutor Gerrie Nel’s newly formed boy band, with another day and a half of result delivery to go.

Speaking about losing his record, O’Leary said he was confident he could get it back at the final of this year’s series of the talent contest.

“I applaud Judge Masipa for pushing the boat out, but the lack of tense music and constantly changing camera angles of the accused leaves the viewer feeling a little flat.”

Asked if it would take a Pistorius-style murder of Simon Cowell to get the same level of attention and tension to his next attempt he said: “I’ll give it my best shot. Or four.”
