Manchester City unveil new statue to commemorate Moyes’ achievements at United

With the confirmation coming out of Old Trafford that David Moyes has been sacked as Manchester United manager, the other 91 clubs in the football league have already announced plans for testimonials to thank him for the work he has done in the last few months.

Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinio are just two of the managers that have spent years trying to knock Manchester United from the top two of the Premier League, However David Moyes has shown what a quality manager he is by doing the job in less than a year.

Moyes’ farewell tour looks set to start in Manchester itself with Manchester City giving him an open-top bus parade around the city to mark his success.

He will then move on to Anfield where he has already been given ‘folk hero’ status by convincing the world keeping Everton mid-table was doing a good job.

His work at Old Trafford means he will forever be remembered at Liverpool, who with United out of the way, look set to win their first league title in 24 years.

The next 12 months will see him paraded around the rest of the country’s clubs, unveiling statues of himself and giving undercover police officers training on infiltration tactics.

But his career in football management still looks bright as Real Madrid have offered to pay double his Manchester United wages and give him a 6 year contract to manage Barcelona.
