Job done, surely?

A sense of widespread confusion is growing across social media today as racism stubbornly persists in being a thing. Despite more than 400,000 Facebook users liking and sharing a picture of twelve year old Devonte Hart hugging Sgt. Bret Barnum during the riots in Ferguson, Missouri people the world over are continuing to be absolute dicks to each other based on skin tone and birth place.

“I don’t understand,” villager Mark Keen told us. “I shared the picture and added a thumbs-up icon and nothing’s changed. Now I’m wondering why I went to all that effort.”

“It’s like racism is way more complicated than a viral image on Facebook makes it seem,” another Harold like-and-sharer Jane Hough said. “Perhaps it won’t ever go away. Just like that feeling that everyone can see through you and knows you’re not a proper grown up. Oh, and Tony Blair, of course.”
