A moment of self doubt? No, just thinking about shoes
Ivanka Trump says her father is essentially a feminist, a keen supporter of women’s rights.
“I grew up in a house where there were no barriers to what I could accomplish as a billionaire’s daughter.”
Speaking without apparent irony on women’s entrepreneurship, Ms Trump said she stayed a whole year at her first job after school, before being lucky enough to land a post with the Trump Organization.
“You’ve got to make your own luck in business, because nobody’s going to hand you success on a plate.” she explained. “Well, I got stuck into it and finally, after weeks of hard work, the company recognised my efforts by promoting me to Executive Vice President and I was on my way.”
Ivanka says there are no limits to what an independent, modern woman might achieve. “Look at me. After making my own way, as a successful businesswoman, I’ve now been appointed as assistant to the President of the United States. Can you believe it? If things go well, who knows? One day I might even become the wife of the President.”
