A court judgement has been passed that demands the landlord of the Squirrellicker’s Arms ceases claiming accolades that the premises has not received with immediate effect.
In summing up his decision, the judge explained in no uncertain terms that ‘just because the food has the texture and taste of molded rubber, the proprietor could not claim his meals were of a Michelin standard’.
Eddie, the pub’s landlord, has said he will consider an appeal. In the meantime he will continue to display the 3 star AA sign in the entrance on the basis his car has broken down more than any other landlord’s in the village.
