Hello my darling Haroldites!!
For once, I’ve had a relatively quiet week in Veggie! Veggie! Veggie!, although there was an influx of busybodies visitors in the early part of the week, thanks to that awful debacle with Mr Newnham and his lady friend, and thanks to the placard-waving harridans who’ve been picketing my lovely little café as a result of that incident, I’ve had a chance to work on some new business ideas.
As well as my wonderful picnics, BBQs and outside catering options, I’m developing a very exciting idea based on ‘Come Dine With Me’, where Veggie! Veggie! Veggie! will be providing menu suggestions complete with recipes, a handy guide to withering put-downs and a prize for the biggest emotional breakdown for villagers holding dinner parties. I think it’s a winner!
I’m hoping to encourage more people to host dinner parties in the village which in turn shall hopefully mean that villagers will allow some of those who are relative newcomers to integrate. I mean, that’s years we’ve been here now, and the only visitor we seem to ever have is the Rev. Tansy and while it is always lovely to have a visit from God’s Own representative of the village, I do find that her quiet sobs of bitterness can be a little off-putting whenever she visits our home. (I don’t see quite how she can blame us for the Church’s decision to sell The Old Rectory, especially since we made a very generous offer for it.)
Thanks to this quieter spell, I’ve also been able to indulge in a little extra Pippa Time, which has been such bliss!
I’m continuing my search for the best possible spa and beauty treatments in the area and this week I literally stumbled across a lovely little place in Felching. ‘Come Together’ claims to provide the entire holistic experience, from couples massages and facials, to cosy little individual steam-rooms where you and your significant other can enjoy each others company in a serene environment.
Although quite how they knew darling Dommy by name is beyond me!
Until next week my dears,
Pippa X
